[Even in the thick of the war, there's going to be downtime. Even in the midst of the firefights, the explosions and the countless casualties, there are quiet moments and open bars. Or, rather, there are places left untouched by the fighting.]

[And now there's some downtime.]

[Downtime... and a secure zone left empty for anyone who might care to venture through it.]

[Needless to say, a certain speedy little car has gone off in search of a certain jet. This is an opportunity. A good one. They can't just let it slip by like it's just another day. Because who knows when they're going to have another chance for something like this.]

[But first he has to actually find Air Raid.]

[ That certain jet just finished some recon, and may or may not be flying by overhead. ]

[AHAH. There you are!]

[... Rather than try to jump up for him, or something silly like that, he just comms him.]

:: Well well. What's that up there? A shooting star? ::

[ There's silence for a moment, as the jest slows a little. ]

:: Sideswipe? What are you doing down there? ::

[Mission accomplished. He pauses, climbing around through some debris.]

:: Looking for you! And look at that. I did. ::

[ He turns back around, heading towards Sideswipe's location ]

:: Is something wrong? ::

[He waves an arm in the air, trying to get his attention.]

:: If something was wrong, do you think I'd be sitting here, waving my arms around? ::

[ He closes in and transforms, hovering for a moment ]

I dunno. Maybe.

Okay. Maybe if you were Ratchet, I'd be doing that.

[He just beams up at him.]

But I'm fine. Promise.

[ He lowers himself to the ground ] So what is it, then?

[Which is when he gets right up into Air Raid's personal space.]

I missed you.

You could have waited for me to get back to base, you know.

Where's the fun in that?

Besides. Someone else'd send you off on another mission before I got what I wanted.
